The articleproposes a methodology for heat calculation of the set, combining functions ofthe steam generating unit; and the grainsteamer. Theoretical studies have shown a significant effect of the mass flowrate of water supply and the input power for the duration of warming the bottomto a technologically specified temperature. The input power should not be largewhen the steady-state temperature can significantly exceed the technologicallyspecified temperature of the generating steam of the set floor. This will leadto an increase in its size, weight and additional costs. Mass flow rate ofwater should provide a sufficient degree of humidification of grain forobtaining its high technological properties. Less tangible effect exerted onthe heating dynamics of the set is its size, determined by the internaldiameter of the operating chamber, the increase of which leads to an increasein the mass and area of the outer surface. A calculation show thatapproximately equal, but not so significant, influence on the heating dynamicsof the set, other things being equal, exerts the area of the outer surface ofthe thermal insulation, as well as the heat transfer coefficient. An increasein the average surface temperature of the thermal insulation from 60 to 120 °Cincreases the heat transfer coefficient from 12.0 to 15.9 J/(m2 ´ s), whichleads to a decrease in the temperature of the heated bottom of the set 10minutes from the start of the process by 8 °C,whereas a reduction in the input power from 60 to 54 kW leads to a decrease inthis temperature by 17°C. Energy-intensiveprocesses of water heating and steam generation significantly influence the heatingdynamics of the set. The heat calculation of the set is limited by thetemperature parameters of the steaming process, and allows coordinating theoptimum value of the input power with the speed and the heating time of the installationbottom to the preset temperature.
