Peculiarities of seed potatoes in the Lower Volga region
Based on the analysis of research field trial studied the possibility of seed potatoes for growing it from the freshly harvested tubers dvuurozhaynoy culture. Revealed that the best for replanting are early-maturing and Middle-class, such as Fortune, Pogar, Collette, Condor and Volzhanin. The technology of preparing a solution of stimulants to expedite the passage of freshly harvested tuber dormancy and especially farming until sprouting of potatoes. Through the use of technology soaking tubers in a solution of growth stimulators and a special notch entire tuber dormancy and reduced significantly increased germination from 60% to 90% in different varieties. In the irrigation of the Lower Volga landing incised tuber yield of re-culture stood out compared to the entire treated with growth stimulants, regardless of cultivar. It is established that the best germination, yield and marketability achieved by planting incised treated with growth promoting tuber, taking into account that the planting should be done within one day after harvest. Potato plants using this technology have time to complete development cycle from germination to maturity of tubers, which is important for full seed. Potatoes planted whole tubers are low field germination and a more prolonged period (planting - shoots), because the plants do not have time to finish the growing season. This method of propagation of seed potatoes in the Lower Volga region can be applied to high-value early maturing varieties and Middle-and high reproduction of culture.
