The authors have conducted studies to determine the clinical and hematological parameters in the Yaroslavl breed heifers climatic conditions of the North Caucasus. Sharply continental climate, intense solar radiation and other climatic factors act in Stavropol on the animal organism in postnatal ontogenesis. As a result of these effects are modified physiological characteristics of animals, are produced by the new adaptive mechanisms to ensure their optimal ability to live in these conditions. Therefore, to clarify the influence of climatic effects on the body of Yaroslavl animals in the early postnatal ontogenesis it is necessary to study their physiological parameters such as body temperature, pulse rate and the number of breaths per minute and a change in the blood. A study of growth and development of the Yaroslavl heifers in the Stavropol region was implemented by comparing the offspring of imported animals with a similar group of red steppe peers, which are well adapted to the Stavropol region and widely distributed in the North Caucasus region.The results of these studies have shown that clinical parameters in all experimental animals were within the physiological norm. Increasing the number of respiratory movements and heart rate in the spring-summer means increased pulmonary ventilation in Yaroslavl heifers, thus improving heat transfer and prevent ing overheating of the body in the new climatic conditions.The studied hematological indices are physiological and biochemical indicators of animal health in certain geographic and climatic conditions and they reflect the ontogeny of these groups of mammals.The results indicate that in the full feeding and good content visible changes in the blood system of Yaroslavl breed heifers as compared with the red steppe have not been identified and changes in early postnatal ontogenesis in both groups of animals did not happen.
