Relationships between shear rate and viscosity
for the rapeseed extrudate sample loaded under pressure
have been obtained for different mass fractions of oil. From
these approximate relationships, it follows that the rapeseed
extrudate is a significantly nonlinear medium, and the
dependence of its viscosity on shear rate can be described
by a power law. The viscosity of the extrudate increases
substantially with pressure under typical extrusion process
conditions. This effect is especially pronounced at low shear
rates, and it depends on the mass fraction of oil in the sample.
