TECHNOLOGY OPTIONS POTATO IN THE ARID ZONE

Potato production in the Astrakhan region requires special
treatment in the selection of varieties, quality seed, timing of
planting and cultivation technology of potatoes with the influence
of the environment and in accordance with the requirements of the
biological culture.
Given the high value of the potato and the growing demand for
this product is significant area under drip irrigation in the farms of
the area set aside for this culture.
In market conditions, the production of potatoes is important
for resource-saving technologies. In this case beyond a sound
knowledge of biology of potato and general technology readiness
must be based on the experience of management in these natural
conditions.
Currently, the most important task is to create technological
methods, which would be resource, and would not contaminate
the environment. In the agronomy of power inputs and on their
environmental assessment can distinguish 6 groups farming
practices.
Under these conditions, environmentally technology of potato
cultivation is environmentally friendly and resource saving.
