Comparative characteristics of biological features of fresh cows of different breed groups

Live weight of heifers of Ural type black-and-white breed and Simmental crossbreds at birth has no significant differences; the animals of the Ural type of black-and-white breed have more intensive growth up to 18 months of age. Crosses of the Ural type of black-andwhite breed with Simmental have higher rates milk production compared to purebred animals: milk yield for 305 days after first calving was significantly higher on 1093.42 kg, the mass fraction of the protein was higher on 0.21 %. Differences in kappa casein locus between different breed groups were not established. Halfblooded animals have a more intense protein and amino acid metabolism. Fresh cows of black-and-white breed are distinguished by low content of bicarbonate and trace elements: iron and copper. The animals belonging to different breed have low values of immune haematological indicators (monocytes, band forms, neutrophil phagocytic rate, phagocytic index, content of immune competent cells of T-lymphocyte), which indicates on weak development of cellular component of immune system. Crossbred fresh cows have generic and puerperal morbidity less than 2.0–3.3 times compared to purebred peers. Crossbred fresh cows have higher rates of reproduction: impregnation capacity from the first insemination, fertilization index, service period. Due to the increase in milk production in Simmental crossbred group additional 735.000 rubles were received, prevented damage by reducing the days of infertility was 472.000 rubles.
