Phenotypic characterization of breeding stock Kabarda horse breed, writing in the Stud Book Vol 7

By results of the phenotypic analysis, surveys comprehensive assessment undertaken Kabardian breed horses that are included
in the Code of Civil Procedure Volume VII, and produced high-quality selection of stallions-producers and breeding
stock, other than pedigree, typicality and high adaptive qualities for the further development of the breed. Horse breeding
stock recorded in the VII is characterized by severe fathom and type, with a strong, well-defined core. At selection of animals
for recording in Stud Book pays particular attention to the type, origin and adaptive quality and no visible origin, adaptive quality
and no visible defects. Horses priced below appraisal of class 1, the CCP is not included. The main indicators of measurements
in horses recorded in the VI volume, Supplement VI that in VII CPC is improving, it is due primarily to the application
of science-based technologies of rearing, which is clearly seen from the data of measurements of 3 year-old mares. Application
of the recommendations of experts and researchers in the field of Kabardian horse-breeding leads to an increase in the number
of high quality in breeding farms, as well as from private owners. The thoroughbred Kabardian horses brought in the VII volume
of the State Stud Book, characterized by high quality indicators: of the 47 stallions and 665 mares from the class of elite
attributed, respectively, 45 heads (95.7 %) and 491 heads (73.8 %). The rest of the livestock-producing stallions and mares is
1st class.
